You can also find a read-aloud of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom right here on YouTube. If you don’t have a copy of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom handy, you can pair this project with any book that features the ABCs. If you have more than one kid creating this alphabet art, then you can have them swap art projects and see if they can find the letters on the other one. We used our Crayola gel crayons for this step, but you can totally complete this alphabet art project using regular markers, crayons, or even paint.Ĭreate an animal with magazine scraps in this other fun art activity for kids! This is why it’s important to have the letters touching each other, to create sections and areas to separate the colors. The final step is to color in each section. Now, onto making this a beautiful alphabet art project!Īfter the pencil lettered ABCs are done, trace over them with a black marker. You can also do this after writing the alphabet and extend some of the lines to reach the next letter. Pencil is ideal for this in case they make a mistake. Note that this letter art project will turn out the best if the letter lines extend and touch each other rather than the letters just floating around individually.
